TLB Municipal Finance Seminar for new Town Accountants and Public Officials Coming

Winter of 2007

Take advantage of TLB’s knowledge and industry expertise in Massachusetts municipal finance. This 12 hour seminar held on three consecutive Friday mornings will offer a primer on the key information you need to know to be a successful Town Accountant. The seminar will cover the following topics:

• Overview of financial reporting
• Roles and responsibilities of Town Accountant’s
• Municipal finance legal review
• Overview of UMAS
• Basic internal control issues every Town Accountant should know
• Overview of the budget process
• Year end financial reporting and certification of free cash
